OH MY GOD! So, here I am up in the middle of the night. I can't help but think-whatever happened to my podcast? Yeah, that thing-you know that I was all gung-ho about for the 5 times I did it? I've concluded that I just suck at following through. It seems that if there are no deadlines, no people asking for more, no interest in what I'm doing...whether it be making movies, music, beer, or podcasts-I just don't give a shit. I quit. I move on to the next thing. So, I guess I'm done. All though, much like girlfriends and jobs-you don't want to quit one until you have a another. We're now officially 3 games into the big ten season-and I have to ask myself-"What the hell is going on?" There's a visiting law professor complaning that the visitor's locker room at Kinnick Stadium is degrading to homosexuals and women. That's right, a locker room. Apparently now-Locker rooms, and even the color pink can shatter the self consiousness and being of all women and gays alike. The MOST ridiculous part of this story is that it made national press-because nobody wanted to talk about our shitty football team. Well, I shouldn't say that-we just won a fairly impressive victory over PURDUE-who was supposedly going to be in the big ten title race. Then again, the big ten had 3 teams in the top ten at the beginning of the season, and now they only have one. And that one is Penn State? Happy Valley just got a whole lot happier-and the rest of thier schedule looks like a play date in central park. As for the hawks-we're gonna earn every last W we get this year, and maybe Brewmaster J will make a podcast. One last thing-Minnesota is overratted and will always fall back on mediocrity-DO NOT BET ON THEM PAST THE FIRST 2 GAMES OF THE SEASON.

What is the word? It's freakin "HAWKS!" It's time baby, and I've got my supply of xanax and ambien. By the time I wake up-the Hawks will be stormin out the tunnel to kick some cardinal ass.

ahh yes, the Iowa Football season approaches us quickly and soon enough you will hear Brewmaster J ruling the PODWAVES with the "west coast hawkeye" I kinda lied about the last podcast-i don't believe that I've done one since april. so, i've taken almost a month off, to step back from podcasting. hey all- just finished, no make that the fourth podcast of WCH. this week was fairly uneventful-boy i can't wait for footballf-or any drama what-so-ever. it's so boring reading the same articles over and over. Next week, tune in for gambling and PS2 loving. for now-get bent and go hawks!

PODCAST SETUP

some interest has been sparked in the setup i use to podcast. first of all, i work on MAC. Coming from the world of video editing, i find it easier and more responsive than PC, and mac also has a much better variety of software for media content producers. The first thing that you must have in order to podcast is obviously a microphone and a way to get the signal into the computer. For now, I've been using a PLANTRONICS HEADSET for input. You could use a better setup than what I have, but for now this is working. Now for recording you need a program that allows you to edit, manipulate and record several tracks. I find that AUDACITY does the job well and it supports multiple platforms. Now being on a mac, I can use iTunes or Quicktime to send audio to the recording program, another nifty piece of software that allows you to send audio from any program to any other program is SOUNDFLOWER. I believe this is a MAC only software, but there might be a similar program for PC. Some other programs of interest might be SKYPE , AUDIO HIJACK , and CLEANER XL-this can be used to encode and make the .mp3 file smaller for upload to the internet.

yeah! another one in the bucket! This time around I keep it short and to the point. Hopefully we'll have a killer show next week, Spring Practice starts on the 23rd and we'll have a new guest in the studio. So, I've been trying to figure out why my feed won't work with either ipodder or ipodderx (2 very good apps for new podcast feeds) I thought it was my server, but now I have a dedicated website and feed-it appears and you can download it, but it won't feed the Podcast Apps. Anyway-this is all probably boring to you and just FYI here's the new link to the podcast and future home to many more. FEED!
